BEML Limited has secured an order worth ₹246.78 crore from Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) for the supply of 48 BH60M Rear Dump Trucks. The contract also includes spares and consumables for one year plus four additional years, as well as comprehensive after-sales service.
The BH60M Rear Dump Truck is designed to meet the rigorous demands of mining operations. It features a Cummins engine delivering 480 kW (644 FHP) at 2000 rpm, coupled with an advanced Allison transmission. The truck has a payload capacity of 54,500 kg. Its ergonomic cabin provides enhanced operator comfort and control, while features like Orbitrol full-time power steering and a shorter turning radius ensure better maneuverability.
Key safety and efficiency features of the BH60M include:
- A 360-degree rear camera for enhanced visibility.
- An Automatic Fire Suppression System for emergency preparedness.
- An Auto Lube System for improved maintenance.
- A Driver Fatigue Monitoring System and a Productivity & Health Monitoring System to optimize equipment health and operational efficiency.
The vehicle is air-conditioned and adheres to ISO standards and the latest safety requirements specified in DGMS circulars issued in October 2018 and February 2020. Production of the BH60M primarily takes place at BEML’s manufacturing complex in Mysuru. Deliveries will commence after final inspections to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.
