Craftsman Automation has established a greenfield alloy wheel manufacturing facility in Salarpur Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, with an investment of ₹150 crore. The project was expedited after the Rajasthan government facilitated the allocation of a preferred land parcel and granted necessary approvals quickly.

The company had approached the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) for land in January 2023, and the allotment was finalized within a month. Construction began in February 2024. Initially, the first batch of production was planned for April 2025, but due to expedited approvals from multiple departments, production commenced in August 2024, eight months ahead of schedule.

The plant currently employs around 200 people, with plans to increase the workforce in the next six to eight months as the second phase of the project becomes operational. The facility is expected to reduce supply chain costs for clients in northern India.

RIICO Chairman and Rajasthan’s Principal Secretary of Industries & Commerce, Ajitabh Sharma, stated that the agency aims to streamline land allotments and infrastructure development to improve investor perception of the state. Craftsman Automation Director Gautham Ram acknowledged the role of RIICO and its regional office in facilitating the necessary approvals.

The facility is part of broader industrial developments in Rajasthan, following the ‘Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit’ held in December 2024, where investment commitments totaling ₹35 trillion were signed.
