Collins Aerospace, a business unit of RTX, has launched the 2025 edition of its Powered by Collins Initiative at Aero India, with a focus on expanding collaboration in manufacturing and advanced technologies. The initiative invites small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in targeted partnerships aimed at accelerating technology deployment in aerospace and defence manufacturing.
As part of this initiative, Collins Aerospace is emphasizing manufacturing innovation in areas such as material informatics and quantum-enabled navigation. The program facilitates partnerships through funded, rapid development demonstration projects that support active aerospace and defence programs. Since its inception in 2023, the initiative has engaged with companies specializing in aerospace and adjacent industries.
Collins Aerospace has also introduced the Powered by Collins Ecosystem on Switchpitch, a platform designed to connect startups with enterprises, investors, and technology accelerators. The ecosystem will provide ongoing opportunities for collaboration, particularly in manufacturing and supply chain development.
Mary Lombardo, vice president of Advanced Technology for Collins Aerospace, stated that the expansion of the initiative will help address evolving technology needs and enhance engagement with manufacturing partners to support industry growth.
