The company is working with Indian defence manufacturers to establish localized production and system integration capabilities, supporting India’s push for increased self-reliance in defence technology.
HENSOLDT’s manufacturing initiatives include technology transfer agreements and co-development efforts aimed at producing advanced radar, electronic warfare, and electro-optical systems within India. By collaborating with local industry partners and research institutions, the company aims to enhance indigenous capabilities in airborne surveillance and situational awareness.
The company’s airborne sensor portfolio, which includes active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems, and electronic warfare solutions, is being adapted for local production. Efforts are also underway to integrate artificial intelligence-driven data fusion technologies into Indian defence platforms.
As part of Indo-German defence cooperation, HENSOLDT is working to expand its manufacturing footprint in India, aligning with government initiatives to develop domestic defence production. At Aero India 2025, the company will engage with industry stakeholders at Hall J, Stall J 1.4, to further its partnerships in the region.
