Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh met with UK Minister for the House of Lords, Vernon Coaker, on the sidelines of the 15th Aero India in Bengaluru. Discussions focused on ongoing defence cooperation, including industrial collaboration and maritime engagements. Both sides acknowledged progress in areas such as electric propulsion and aero engines.
Singh also co-chaired a UK-India Business Council roundtable with Coaker and British High Commissioner to India, Lindy Cameron. The roundtable, attended by representatives from UK defence industries and the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers, explored joint project opportunities for Indian and UK companies.
Additionally, Singh met with Italy’s Under Secretary of State for Defence, Matteo Perego Di Cremnago, to discuss expanding defence cooperation. Talks covered increased maritime and air exchanges and joint project possibilities for Indian and Italian companies.
The meetings were held as part of Aero India 2025, an event aimed at fostering international defence collaboration and industry partnerships.
