Russian state arms exporter Rosoboronexport has proposed a collaboration with India on the Su-57E fifth-generation fighter jet project, according to a report by Sputnik India. The proposals include direct supply of assembled aircraft, joint production in India, and assistance in developing an indigenous fifth-generation fighter.

Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport, told Sputnik India that the company is looking to expand cooperation with India in the defense sector. The Su-57E will be presented at Aero India 2025, scheduled to take place from February 10-14 at Yelahanka Air Force Base, where discussions on potential collaboration are expected.

Meanwhile, Russian defense corporation Rostec announced plans to increase production capacity for the Su-57 to meet growing demand. The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), a subsidiary of Rostec, is promoting the aircraft for export and expanding its production capabilities. The company expects significant interest in the Su-57 during the event in Bengaluru.
