Motherson, through its subsidiary CIM Tools India Pvt. Ltd., has been selected as a Tier 1 supplier for Airbus commercial aircraft. The company has signed a multi-year contract to manufacture and supply aerospace components and assemblies directly to Airbus’ final assembly lines. Production will be carried out at Motherson’s aerospace facility in Bengaluru, India.

Motherson has an existing relationship with Airbus, supplying components for Airbus Helicopters and Airbus Defence and Space. This latest agreement expands its role within the commercial aviation sector.

According to Kunal Bajaj, President of Motherson’s Aerospace Business Division, the contract reflects the company’s investments in advanced manufacturing and quality systems to support aerospace production.

Motherson’s aerospace division operates 16 facilities across four countries, supplying major aircraft manufacturers. The company has been expanding beyond its core automotive business into aerospace, technology, medical, and industrial sectors.
