Cyient DLM is finalising a multi-year contract with Deutsche Aircraft for the design, development, and manufacturing of a Cabin Management System (CMS) for the D328eco regional turboprop aircraft. The system will be developed entirely in India, as part of the companies’ ongoing aerospace manufacturing collaboration.
The CMS will include a touchscreen interface to control various cabin functions such as lighting, passenger signs, and lavatory operations. The system will feature a modular and scalable architecture, integrating multiple sensors and using modern display and control electronics.
According to a press release issued by the company, this will be one of Deutsche Aircraft’s first electronics programmes to be fully designed and manufactured in India. The D328eco is a 40-seater turboprop aircraft under development by Deutsche Aircraft, which is headquartered in Wessling, Germany.
Anthony Montalbano, CEO of Cyient DLM, stated, “Our expanded partnership with Deutsche Aircraft is a testament to the strength of our collaboration and shared commitment to driving aerospace innovation. We are excited to bring our end-to-end design and manufacturing expertise to the D328eco programme.”
Nico Neumann, Co-CEO of Deutsche Aircraft, said, “We are very pleased to start this partnership with Cyient DLM on the CMS, further strengthening the relationship between Deutsche Aircraft and the Cyient Group.”
Production under this contract will support the development of advanced electronic systems in regional aircraft and contribute to Cyient DLM’s existing aerospace manufacturing portfolio.
