London-based Rolls-Royce PLC has entered into an agreement with Hyderabad-based Azad Engineering Limited to manufacture civil aircraft engine components in India. Under this long-term agreement, Azad Engineering will supply critical machined parts for the duration of the engine program.
The contract is expected to strengthen collaboration between the two companies in aerospace manufacturing. However, the financial details and exact scope of the order have not been disclosed at this stage.
According to the disclosure submitted to stock exchanges, the agreement does not involve any shareholding transactions or related-party relationships. The components will be manufactured in India and supplied to Rolls-Royce as per the terms of the contract.
Azad Engineering, which specializes in precision manufacturing, has been involved in aerospace component production for multiple international clients. Rolls-Royce, a global manufacturer of power and propulsion systems, sources components from various suppliers worldwide.
