Pune-based NIBE Limited has inaugurated a new missile complex and precision machining facility, marking an expansion of its manufacturing capabilities in the defence and aerospace sectors. The facility, located in Pune, is equipped with advanced Vertical Machining Centres (VMCs), including the Kairos V5 16000 and BMV 50 & 60+ models.
According to the company, the facility will focus on producing high-precision components for missiles, rocket launchers, light machine guns, and assault rifles. It integrates CNC technology and a research and development unit aimed at enhancing production efficiency.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis attended the inauguration and highlighted the state’s efforts to strengthen its manufacturing infrastructure. Ganesh Ramesh Nibe, Founder and CMD of NIBE Limited, stated that the company aims to integrate innovation and technology in its operations.
NIBE Limited has also been expanding its presence in the space sector, recently collaborating with Thales Alenia Space and Black Sky on the launch of an Earth Observation Satellite Constellation. The company’s involvement in defence, space, and precision engineering reflects its focus on strategic industries.
Pune continues to develop as a centre for defence and technology manufacturing, with new investments contributing to domestic production capabilities.
