Godrej Industries’ Chemicals Business has completed the acquisition of the food additives business of Savannah Surfactants Limited. The acquired unit, located in Goa, includes a manufacturing facility with a capacity of 5,200 metric tons per annum (MTPA) of finished products.

The transaction, finalized at the beginning of the 2025–26 fiscal year, marks a move by Godrej to increase its manufacturing footprint in the specialty chemicals sector, specifically in food and beverage applications.

Vishal Sharma, Executive Director and CEO of Godrej Industries (Chemicals), stated, “This acquisition is in line with our vision and strategy to grow in a profitable and sustainable manner. The Savannah business will be part of our Speciality chemicals sector. The addition of this Food Additives Business will expand our speciality offerings and build a larger speciality business going forward.”

Godrej Industries (Chemicals) operates three manufacturing locations in Maharashtra and Gujarat and runs an R&D center in India. The company produces oleochemicals, surfactants, specialty chemicals, and biotech products, primarily using renewable vegetable oil-based feedstocks. Its operations span over 80 countries across various industries, including home and personal care, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, and agrochemicals.
