Kineco Limited, a diversified manufacturing company, has delivered its 100th front-end nose cone for the Vande Bharat Express, advancing its collaboration with Indian Railways in supplying key components for the semi‑high‑speed train fleet.
The company had previously secured a contract to supply 68 front‑end nose cones for the Vande Bharat trains and, in 2022, won a INR 1.13 billion order from the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, to supply and install modular interiors, including coach interiors, seating systems, and toilet modules.
Manufactured using advanced composite materials, the nose cones are designed to improve aerodynamics and operational efficiency.
Developed by ICF, the Vande Bharat Express is India’s first domestically designed and manufactured semi‑high‑speed train, introduced to modernize the nation’s passenger rail infrastructure.
Headquartered in Goa, Kineco has over 15 years of experience in the composites sector. Its IRIS‑certified Railway Division provides turnkey solutions, including rail coach interiors, driver cab systems, toilet modules, seating, and aerodynamic front ends. The company also serves the aerospace, defence, and industrial segments.
