Litmus Industries Limited has inaugurated an aluminum rod manufacturing plant in Ramgram, Nawalparasi, as part of its Litmus 2.0 initiative. The facility aims to supply aluminium rods for Nepal’s wires, cables, and conductors industry, reducing the country’s reliance on imports.

According to the company, the plant is expected to contribute to local industrial production and retain revenue within Nepal’s economy. The launch ceremony was attended by government officials, industry leaders, and business experts, including Krishna Bahadur Raut, secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supply.

The plant is expected to generate employment across multiple sectors and contribute to the development of technical expertise in Nepal’s aluminium and electrical industries. Additionally, the company anticipates that the project will encourage domestic and foreign investment in Nepal’s manufacturing sector.

Litmus Industries Limited operates in Nepal’s wire, cable, and conductor manufacturing industry. The company stated that the new facility aligns with its broader strategy to expand industrial capacity and reduce dependence on imported raw materials.
