Centum Electronics, a manufacturer of electronic systems, reported an order book of INR 17,364 million as of March 31, 2025, with a significant share coming from the defence, space and aerospace sectors. The standalone order book increased to INR 13,297 million, up from INR 11,178 million in the previous year, driven primarily by Build-to-Specification (BTS) projects for Indian defence and space customers.
In FY25, 56% of the company’s revenue came from defence, space and aerospace. This segment continued to be a key growth driver for both BTS and Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) businesses. The BTS business benefited from strong domestic orders, while EMS added new customers who have moved into qualification and new product introduction stages, positioning the company for revenue growth in FY26.
Total consolidated operational revenue for FY25 stood at INR 11,554 million, a 5.9% increase over FY24. Standalone operations, which include EMS and BTS, grew 18% year-on-year. Consolidated EBITDA for the year was INR 967 million with a margin of 8.37%. While standalone net profit was INR 528 million, the consolidated result showed a net loss of INR 19 million, primarily due to losses in the Canadian subsidiary.
In the fourth quarter of FY25, consolidated revenue rose 24% year-on-year and 31% sequentially to INR 3,687 million. This growth was attributed to strong order execution in the BTS segment for defence and space. Consolidated EBITDA margin improved to 11.3% in Q4, compared to 6.06% in Q4 FY24.
The company raised INR 2,100 million through a Qualified Institutional Placement during the year. Of this, INR 1,150 million was used for debt reduction, INR 350 million is earmarked for capital expenditure, and INR 500 million for general corporate purposes.
