Nirmitsu Design Labs Pvt. Ltd., a startup focused on sustainable manufacturing, has opened an advanced additive manufacturing facility in Goa. The company aims to produce custom plastic and composite parts using 3D printing technologies with a focus on environmentally conscious practices.

The new facility is being developed in collaboration with 3D Systems Corporation and is intended to support applications in aerospace, defence, and other sectors. As part of its operations, Nirmitsu has installed the 3D Systems EXT 1070 Titan Pellet 3D printer, a production-grade, large-format printer that uses thermoplastic pellets as raw material. It has also acquired the 3D Systems Figure 4 Standalone printer for high-precision plastic part production.

The facility was inaugurated by Rohan Khaunte, Minister for Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, and was attended by Rajesh Faldesai, MLA of Cumbarjua.

Founded in August 2024, Nirmitsu Design Labs focuses on additive manufacturing to produce sustainable, customized components across sectors. It is registered under the Government of India’s Startup India initiative. The company’s operations align with Goa’s emphasis on promoting non-polluting industries and contributing to the local and national manufacturing economy.

Matrix Moon, a channel partner of 3D Systems, supported the deployment of the 3D printers at the facility.
