Setco Automotive Limited has announced the launch of Load Cushion and Torque Rod Bush products as part of its expansion into suspension solutions for the medium and heavy commercial vehicle (MHCV) segment. The company, listed on the BSE and NSE, stated that this move broadens its product offering within the commercial vehicle sector.

The Load Cushion is a suspension component positioned between the chassis and the axle or leaf spring assembly. It is designed to absorb vertical loads and road shocks, particularly in heavy-duty applications. According to the company, the Load Cushion is typically used in heavy commercial vehicles, trailers, and tippers with bogie suspensions. Key features include rubber-to-metal bonding, long service life, and high compressive strength.

The Torque Rod Bush is another suspension component used in trucks, trailers, and buses. It is installed at both ends of the torque rod, which connects the axle to the vehicle chassis. The bush helps absorb road vibrations and shocks while maintaining structural alignment and enabling controlled movement. The product is designed to support axle articulation in challenging terrains and reduce vibration transmission to the driveline.

“Following our entry into the engine cooling segment with the Automotive Water Pump, we are strengthening our MHCV portfolio with suspension products,” said Harish Sheth, Chairman and Managing Director of Setco Automotive Limited.
