Vibhor Steel Tubes Ltd (VSTL), a manufacturer, exporter, and supplier of steel pipes and tubes, has inaugurated a new galvanizing iron (GI) manufacturing facility in Balanagar, located in the Mahbubnagar district of Telangana. With this expansion, the company’s installed capacity in the state has doubled from 24,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) to 48,000 MTPA.

The newly operational unit is designed to produce zinc-coated crash barriers, which are used in roadway infrastructure such as medians, shoulders, verges, and high embankments. The production of crash barriers at this facility is expected to contribute to revenue growth and margin improvement in the upcoming quarters.

“We have been continuously diversifying our product basket by rolling out several value-added offerings such as crash barriers and monopoles. The foray into new product segment and increasing share of exports is likely to give a significant boost to our revenues in the coming quarters,” said Chairman and Executive Director Vijay Kaushik.

The company has a contract manufacturing arrangement with Jindal Pipes, under which VSTL produces and supplies finished goods under the Jindal Star brand. Currently, over 80 percent of the company’s turnover comes from this contract segment.

VSTL operates two additional manufacturing units—one in Raigad, Maharashtra, which handles all export sales, and another in Mahbubnagar, Telangana. The new Balanagar plant brings the company’s total installed capacity to 221,000 MTPA. VSTL supplies its products to key markets across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
