Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) has inaugurated a new warehousing facility at the KIADB Aerospace Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Bengaluru as part of its broader aerospace sector expansion plans. The Phase I facility spans 0.12 acres and is designed to support integrated logistics and supply chain operations.

The company has also commenced groundwork for Phase II, which will add 50,000 square feet of additional infrastructure. BEML has been allotted a total of 25 acres within the Aerospace SEZ and plans to use the space for future activities such as drone manufacturing, aerostructure production, and the development of defence components. The company is also considering scaling operations to include manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and exports.

To manage warehousing operations at the SEZ, BEML has signed a strategic service agreement with LOM Supply Chain India Pvt. Ltd.

BEML is a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence and manufactures equipment for sectors including defence and aerospace, rail and metro, and mining and construction.
