Fronius India has inaugurated a new training facility, the Fronius & Academia Centre for Skill Training (FACT), at its headquarters in Pune. The centre offers sponsored training programmes in manual and robotic welding, IT literacy, and soft skills development, with an emphasis on hands-on experience and placement support.
The facility was launched on 18 July 2025 and aims to provide industry-relevant training to young individuals seeking to build careers in manufacturing and automation. Attendees at the event included Sanjay Chopda, Managing Director of SM Auto Engineering Pvt. Ltd., and Deepak Shetty, Executive Director of Ultra Corpo Tech Pvt. Ltd., among other guests.
FACT provides practical instruction in welding technologies supported by Fronius equipment, as well as courses in cybersecurity and IT. The initiative also covers soft skills and personality development to support employability.
“With the launch of the exclusive training facility for the FACT program, we reaffirm our commitment to nurturing India’s youth through skill-building programs rooted in industry relevance and practical exposure. We believe that the future of manufacturing and automation lies in empowered people—and FACT is our way of enabling that future,” said V.V. Kamath, Managing Director of Fronius India.
The launch event also featured testimonials from participants who described how the programme has contributed to their professional growth. The inauguration coincided with Nelson Mandela International Day, which the organisers referenced to underscore the importance of education in social and economic development.
