KRR Heavy Engineering, an India-based equipment supplier, is providing process equipment for PennWhite’s new manufacturing facility in Oragadam, near Chennai. The plant, being developed by PennWhite India Pvt Ltd, will produce foam control chemicals under the FoamDoctor brand for customers in India and across Asia.
KRR Heavy Engineering is a Chennai-based manufacturer of heavy engineering and precision process equipment. The company fabricates pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, towers, and other critical systems for sectors such as refineries, petrochemicals, power, nuclear, and chemical industries. Its infrastructure supports the production of large tanks and vessels, with quality assurance systems aligned with international standards such as ASME, BS, and DIN.
The new facility will produce a range of specialty chemicals, including defoamers used in sectors such as food and beverage processing, wastewater treatment, oil, coatings, printing, manufacturing, and construction.
According to the PennWhite, the project is fully funded internally and is expected to be completed by late 2025.
PennWhite India Pvt Ltd was incorporated in February 2024 as a wholly owned subsidiary of UK-based PennWhite Limited. This development follows the November 2022 acquisition of PennWhite by Manali Petrochemicals Ltd, an integrated Indian polyols manufacturer.
The Chennai facility represents a strategic step in PennWhite’s expansion into Asian markets, with local production intended to enhance regional distribution and customer support.
