Tata Technologies, a product engineering and digital services company, and Emerson, a developer of advanced automation solutions, have announced a strategic collaboration to develop testing and validation solutions for the automotive, aerospace, and commercial vehicle sectors. The companies aim to support original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in developing and validating software-defined, connected, electric, and autonomous vehicles.
Under this partnership, Tata Technologies contributes its expertise in systems engineering and mobility platform development, while Emerson brings automation-based test and measurement technologies. According to the companies, early pilot projects have demonstrated notable efficiencies. In one instance involving a European luxury OEM, they developed electric vehicle (EV) powertrain test rigs in five months—down from a typical 15-month timeline, representing a 67 percent reduction in development time. In another project, more than 30,000 test scenarios were executed using an automated validation setup for an infotainment head-up display system.

Nachiket Paranjpe, President and Head of Automotive Sales at Tata Technologies, said the collaboration is aimed at addressing the increasing complexity of connected, autonomous, and software-defined mobility platforms through intelligent, automated testing solutions.
Pilot programs are currently underway in India, Europe, and North America, with additional joint solution developments planned.
