Rane Holdings Limited, an auto component manufacturer, has invested INR 500 million in its wholly owned subsidiary, Rane Steering Systems Private Limited (RSSL), through a rights issue of equity shares completed on 19 August 2025. RSSL issued 2 million equity shares of INR 10 each at an issue price of INR 250 per share, which included a premium of INR 240 per share. The investment is intended to support operational and capital expenditure requirements.

Following the rights issue, RSSL’s paid-up share capital increased from INR 179 million to INR 199 million. The company reported a turnover of INR 17.06 billion for the financial year ending March 2025. The transaction was executed at arm’s length, based on a registered valuer’s report, to comply with regulatory requirements, as it qualifies as a related-party transaction.

Rane Holdings retains full ownership of RSSL after the rights issue. According to the announcement, the investment is expected to strengthen RSSL’s financial position and support its ongoing business activities.

Rane Steering Systems, incorporated in 1995, manufactures steering columns for the automotive sector. Rane Holdings Limited is the holding company of the Rane Group, which operates across the automotive components sector through its subsidiaries and joint ventures.
