Pfizer Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) to collaborate under the Startup India initiative. The agreement is linked to the launch of the 2025 edition of Pfizer’s INDovation MedTech programme, which began on 2 September.

The initiative will select 14 startups for support, each eligible for grant funding of up to INR 6 million, along with mentorship, clinical validation, and pilot deployment in public health settings. Applications for participation will remain open until 30 September.

Since its inception, INDovation has supported more than 40 startups. For the 2025 edition, the programme has expanded its partnerships to include the Department of Pharmaceuticals, DPIIT, and the Maharashtra State Innovation Society. It will also continue working with NITI Aayog, Atal Innovation Mission, IIT Delhi, and Social Alpha.
