Nittan India Tech Private Limited (NIT), the Indian subsidiary of Japan-based Nittan Valve Company Limited, has inaugurated its expanded manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The upgraded plant doubles the company’s production capacity from one million to two million valves per month, strengthening its role in India’s automotive component supply chain.

The new facility adds 7,350 square metres of built-up space, expanding the site from 3.5 acres to nearly seven acres. With an additional investment of INR 410 million, Nittan India’s cumulative investment now stands at INR 2.57 billion. The expansion has also increased the workforce from 270 to 370 employees, enhancing local industrial employment.

Speaking at the inauguration, Young Oh Ko, Managing Director of NIT, said the company’s focus remains on sustainable growth and operational excellence. “With this new facility, we have doubled output, and this is just the beginning. We will continue to grow—three million, four million and beyond—ensuring NIT shines for decades,” he said.

With the expanded facility, Nittan India’s annual output rises from 12 million to 24 million engine valves. The company supplies components to major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) including Hyundai Motor India, Honda Cars India, Toyota Motor Corporation, Ashok Leyland, Royal Enfield, Yamaha, and Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India. All products are manufactured and marketed domestically.

Lee Tai Hwan, President and Representative Director of Nittan Corporation, said the expansion reflects the group’s growing confidence in India, supported by local expertise and rising market demand.

Nittan India Tech Private Limited, established in 2014, manufactures internal combustion engine valves for passenger and commercial vehicles. The company is part of the Nittan Group, a Japan-based manufacturer with a global presence in the automotive valve industry.
