Fabex Steel Structures Private Limited, a Hyderabad-based manufacturer of pre-engineered buildings and structural steel solutions, has inaugurated its second manufacturing facility at Chityal near Hyderabad. The new unit, built with an investment of INR 1.2 billion and spread across 40 acres, adds 50,000 metric tonnes of annual production capacity, taking the company’s total installed capacity to 100,000 metric tonnes across two plants.

The Chityal facility will cater to industrial applications including factories, warehouses, and logistics infrastructure. The company also operates a high-capacity plant in Vijayawada to meet both domestic and export demand.

Fabex plans to invest an additional INR 1 billion over the next two to three years to enhance automation and diversify its product range. “We are aligning our capital deployment with market momentum across our product lines. The INR 1-billion follow-on investment over the next 24–36 months will focus on automation, throughput enhancement, and product diversification,” said Venu Chava, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Fabex Steel Structures.

“With a combined annual capacity of 100,000 metric tonnes, we now have the scale to support multi-site pre-engineered building rollouts and turnkey design-to-installation projects across India and overseas. We are planning to diversify into new segments,” said I. V. Ramana Raju, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fabex Steel Structures.

Fabex reported a turnover of INR 4.63 billion in the previous financial year and currently employs around 400 personnel. The company intends to double its workforce to 800 as operations at the new unit ramp up. It is targeting INR 10 billion in revenue over the next three years, supported by a 70 percent client retention rate and a growing export portfolio.

The company exports to markets across North America, Africa, and the Middle East, and is exploring new geographies as part of its expansion strategy.

The new unit was inaugurated in the presence of Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham, Mylavaram MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad, and Jaggayyapeta MLA Sriram Rajagopal, along with representatives from the steel and construction sectors.
