Lauda, a manufacturer of precision temperature-control equipment and systems for laboratory and industrial applications, inaugurated its new sales subsidiary Degree Lauda Precision Pvt. Ltd. in Pune on 11 November 2025, expanding its commercial presence across India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. The subsidiary is intended to provide direct local support, faster response times, and enhanced technical capabilities for customers in the region. Additional facilities are planned at the site to strengthen service and application support.
The inauguration was attended by president and chief executive officer Gunther Wobser, managing director Marco Hauser, representatives of joint venture partner Sawant Process Solutions, and distribution partners.
Hauser said the company aims to build a strong, locally embedded presence to support regional demand. “My family and I relocated to Pune to build this presence on the ground, close to our customers and partners in the region,” said Hauser. He added that the subsidiary is designed to extend the company’s technology offering. “With local expertise and proximity to our customers, Degree Lauda Precision is ready to deliver Lauda’s renowned quality and precision across industries – from semiconductors and pharmaceuticals to aerospace, chemicals, and the growing fields of electromobility and hydrogen,” said Hauser.
The company also highlighted developments within its partner network linked to distribution activities in India. S.V. Scientific Pvt. Ltd. was recognised as the top-performing new partner agency for 2024 during an industry event in Bangkok. “S.V. Scientific achieved the highest revenue among new partner agencies in 2024,” said Wobser at the event. Based in Bangalore, S.V. Scientific operates with a team of 35 professionals and an extended network of about 50 sub-dealers across major Indian cities. The partner incorporated thermostats and circulators into its portfolio after initiating the collaboration in January 2024, enabling access to laboratories, institutes, and universities.
