Standex Engraving Mold-Tech Limited has opened a new manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune, expanding its production capability and strengthening its presence in a key manufacturing region. The facility is intended to support growing demand for engraved molds across automotive, consumer goods, and industrial applications.
The new unit is designed to produce between 300 and 400 molds each month. It is equipped with four 20-ton cranes and incorporates laser engraving systems intended to increase precision, improve throughput, and enable more complex texturing requirements. The added capacity allows the company to improve turnaround times and enhance coordination with customers located near the Pune industrial corridor.
The facility follows a year-long construction plan announced earlier, when the company began developing a 45,000-square-foot texturing plant to expand its operational footprint in India. The investment is positioned to address rising domestic demand while supporting programmes executed across the company’s global network.
Standex Engraving Mold-Tech operates four facilities in India, located in Bangalore in Karnataka, Bhiwadi in Rajasthan, Chennai in Tamil Nadu and Pune in Maharashtra. These sites form part of the company’s regional network supporting mold texturing, laser engraving and related services for automotive, consumer and industrial customers across major manufacturing corridors.
Standex International Corporation operates through five business segments: Electronics, Engineering Technologies, Scientific, Engraving and Specialty Solutions. The company has manufacturing and service operations across the United States, Europe, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Mexico, Turkey, India and China, reflecting a diversified multi-industry footprint that supports customers in automotive, industrial, medical, consumer and technology markets.
Standex International Corporation acquired the Amran/Narayan Group in October 2024, adding low and medium voltage instrument transformer capability to its Electronics segment. The transaction involved the purchase of all of Amran Instrument Transformers in the United States and about ninety percent of Narayan Powertech in India, with the remaining stake in Narayan pending regulatory clearance at the time. The combined enterprise value was about USD 462 million. Through this acquisition, Standex expanded its manufacturing footprint with transformer facilities located in the United States and India.
