RRP Defense Limited and Meprolight Ltd. have announced a strategic collaboration to support the distribution, assembly, technology integration, and planned localisation of electro-optic products in India. The partnership covers weapon sights and other advanced systems intended for military and law-enforcement use in the country.
The collaboration will include joint sales and distribution of Meprolight products in India, as well as jointly developed pricing and commercial strategies. Meprolight will provide technology transfer to enable assembly, testing, and integration activities at RRP Defense’s facility in Mahape. The long-term plan includes local manufacturing of select electro-optic systems using components from RRP Electronics and other domestic suppliers.
The companies stated that the cooperation is designed to strengthen capabilities in areas such as electro-optics, thermal imaging, and weapon-sight integration. The release noted that RRP Defense intends to support the development of these systems through its existing ecosystem, which includes RRP Drone Innovation and Vimananu Limited.

Integrating world-class electro-optic technology into our Mahape facility enables us to serve the Indian Armed Forces with domestically assembled, battle-tested solutions,” said Rajendra Chodankar, Chairman of RRP Defense Limited.
Meprolight, based in Israel, manufactures electro-optic systems, night-vision devices, and weapon sights that are deployed by defence and law-enforcement agencies internationally.
