ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Limited said it has secured a business nomination to develop and calibrate an advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) suite for an Indian e-mobility commercial vehicle original equipment manufacturer (OEM), covering coaches, heavy-duty trucks and buses. The company said the nomination covers multiple electric vehicle platforms including 13.5-metre coaches, 55-ton trucks and buses of 7m, 9m and 12m lengths, and that the solution is market-ready for India.

According to a press release issued by ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Limited, dated 03 December 2025, the ADAS suite is certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) for compliance with the forthcoming Indian safety regulation GSR 184e and has been validated over 300,000 km under diverse Indian road conditions.

The company said the ZF ADAS solution is built around its OnGuardMAX software and short-range radar technology and offers a set of 16 advanced features, including advanced emergency braking systems (AEBS), blind spot information system for bicycles (BSIS), driver drowsiness and attention warning systems (DDAW), lane departure warning system (LDWS) and moving off information system (MOIS). The nomination covers development and calibration work for the suite across the nominated vehicle platforms and is designed to support SAE Level 2 automation with scalability for higher automation levels in global applications.

ZF noted the package is designed to meet Indian homologation standards AIS-162, AIS-184, AIS-186, AIS-187 and AIS-188. The press release stated that the solution underwent 65,000 km of joint validation with customers in addition to the broader 300,000 km validation, and that the system is engineered to address the specific operational and road-use challenges encountered in India.
