Tembo Global Industries Limited has commenced commercial production at its newly established manufacturing facility in Vasai, Maharashtra, marking a capacity expansion intended to support higher volumes and an expanded product portfolio. The company said the start of operations follows the completion of installation and commissioning at the site and forms part of its ongoing investment programme to scale domestic manufacturing.

The Vasai facility has been developed with a total capital investment of INR 750 million. The plant spans more than 120,000 square feet and is designed to be expanded in phases as demand increases. The company said the commissioning of the unit represents a milestone in its broader expansion strategy.

With the Vasai facility becoming operational, the company’s overall installed capacity is expected to increase to around 100,000 metric tonnes, subject to phased ramp-up. Tembo stated that it plans to maximise utilisation of the new capacity over the next two to three years, aligning production levels with anticipated growth in market demand and the planned enlargement of its product range.

The company indicated that the new facility has been configured to support higher revenue generation once it reaches steady-state operations. It expects the Vasai unit to achieve peak annual revenue of up to INR 7 billion within the next two to three years, driven by increased operational scale and the addition of new product lines.

A dedicated in-house research and development centre has been established within the Vasai facility. Tembo said the R&D centre will focus on product development and innovation across its manufacturing portfolio, supporting efforts to adapt offerings to changing customer requirements and industry trends.

The Vasai location is expected to provide logistical benefits due to improved connectivity for raw material procurement and finished goods distribution. The company stated that reduced transit times and optimised logistics could contribute to improved operating efficiency and cost competitiveness as production volumes increase.

Commenting on the commencement of commercial production, Sanjay J. Patel, Managing Director of Tembo Global Industries, said: “We are excited to announce a significant milestone with the commencement of commercial production at our new Vasai facility. The added installed capacity reflects our long-term commitment to innovation, efficiency, and value creation.” He added, “The strategic location, combined with our enhanced scale and in-house R&D capabilities, will allow us to deliver superior products while achieving economies of scale.”

Tembo Global Industries Limited was incorporated in 2010 and manufactures and assembles metal components used in pipe support systems, fasteners, anchors, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, and anti-vibration solutions.
