Ammann India Private Limited has commenced production of the ARW 65 walk-behind roller at its manufacturing facility in Mehsana, Gujarat, expanding its locally manufactured compact equipment portfolio. The start of production reflects the company’s focus on localisation to support infrastructure and construction demand in India.

The ARW 65 is a compact walk-behind roller intended for soil and asphalt compaction applications such as pathways, trench work and small construction sites. By manufacturing the model at its Mehsana plant, Ammann India aims to improve supply responsiveness and align production more closely with domestic market requirements while adhering to group manufacturing processes.

The commencement of production was inaugurated by Hans Christian Schneider, Global Chief Executive Officer of the Ammann Group, along with Ammann India’s senior leadership team. The company said the milestone forms part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen its manufacturing footprint in India.

Ammann India stated that the locally produced ARW 65 has been developed in line with the Ammann Group’s engineering and quality standards, with an emphasis on performance, reliability and consistency in manufacturing outcomes. The company added that localisation enables closer oversight of production and quality control.

The addition of the ARW 65 to domestic manufacturing is aligned with Ammann India’s broader manufacturing strategy, which includes expanding local production across compact and mid-sized equipment categories commonly used in road construction, urban infrastructure and maintenance projects.

The company did not disclose investment figures or production capacity related to the commencement of ARW 65 manufacturing at the Mehsana facility.

Ammann India Private Limited is the Indian subsidiary of the Switzerland-headquartered Ammann Group and manufactures road construction and compaction equipment for the Indian market and select export destinations.
