Oliver Valves India Private Limited has moved into a new purpose-built manufacturing facility with a built-up area of 45,000 square feet in New Vellanur, Chennai. The transition was completed with the relocation of all machinery by 15 December 2025, and the facility became fully operational on 2 January 2026, expanding manufacturing capacity and functional scope within the group’s global operations.

The new site is equipped to manufacture components weighing up to three tonnes and brings several critical processes fully in house. These include in-house painting, advanced non-destructive testing with fluorescent liquid penetrant inspection, and a modern inspection suite comprising a coordinate measuring machine, contour tracer, and surface roughness testers. A dedicated clean room has also been established for the production of oxygen clean valves used in safety-critical applications.

The development marks a clear shift in the role of the Indian operations from a regional manufacturing base to an international manufacturing and supply chain hub. The facility is closely integrated with the company’s operations in the United Kingdom and international sales network, supporting global project delivery through shorter lead times, greater production flexibility, and consistent quality standards across markets.

Oliver Valves India Private Limited is part of the UK-based Oliver family of companies, which specialises in high-performance instrumentation and industrial valves for the global energy sector. The Indian entity was incorporated in 2004 and has expanded steadily over the past two decades.

The company is headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and is led by Muthukumar Somasundaram, Director and Chief Executive Officer. It forms part of the global group founded by Dr. Michael R. Oliver.

The Indian manufacturing unit is the only facility operated by the parent company outside England and functions as a 100 percent export-oriented unit. Production from the site is supplied to the parent company in the UK for global distribution, positioning the Indian operations as a central element of the group’s international supply chain.

The company’s product portfolio includes instrumentation needle valves, gauge valves, and instrumentation manifolds. It also manufactures high-pressure ball valves rated up to 10,000 PSI, double block and bleed valves, subsea needle and rotary gate valves, check valves, sampling valves, and air headers and distribution manifolds. Certain designs are engineered to operate at pressures of up to 22,500 psi and at cryogenic temperatures as low as minus 196 degrees Celsius.

For the financial year ended 31 March 2024, Oliver Valves India reported revenue of approximately INR 863 million and recorded a revenue compounded annual growth rate of 35 percent over the previous year.

Oliver Valves Limited, the UK-based parent company, reported revenue of GBP 40.16 million for the year ended 30 September 2024, up from GBP 31.39 million a year earlier. Revenue from Europe, including the UK, amounted to GBP 12.33 million, while the rest of the world contributed GBP 27.83 million.

The company employs around 70 people in its Indian operations and has expanded its domestic market presence through a distribution partnership with Priminox. The export performance of the Indian operations contributed to the parent group receiving the King’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2025. The formal inauguration of the new Chennai facility is scheduled for 12 February 2026.
