Tejas Networks Limited has signed an agreement with NEC Corporation to manufacture and supply 5G massive MIMO radios. The company announced the development on 26 February 2026, stating that the contract expands its collaboration with NEC in the 5G segment.
The agreement covers the manufacture and supply of 5G massive MIMO radios. The company did not disclose the financial value of the contract or execution timeline.
“Today’s milestone furthers our collaboration with Tejas Networks for 5G massive MIMO radio and to achieve supply-chain diversification which helps in mitigating risks to our customers by building a resilient, flexible globalized ecosystem,” said Masayuki Kayahara, Corporate Senior Vice President of Global Network Division at NEC Corporation.

Tejas Networks stated that its mobility product suite comprises 4G and 5G radio access network (RAN) offerings, including high-capacity 32TR and 64TR massive MIMO radios that comply with 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) and O-RAN standards.
Tejas Networks Limited designs and manufactures wireline and wireless networking products for telecommunications service providers, internet service providers, utilities, defence and government entities in over 75 countries. The company is part of the Tata Group, with Panatone Finvest Ltd., a subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd., as its majority shareholder.
