BIADS India Private Limited, a joint venture between Brakes India Private Limited and ADVICS Company Limited, inaugurated its new greenfield manufacturing facility in Shoolagiri, near Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The facility will focus on the production of advanced braking solutions, including electronic stability control (ESC) and other brake control products, for the Indian light vehicle market.

The establishment of the plant follows a joint venture agreement signed on 5 June 2024 to enhance competitiveness and promote localization within the expanding Indian automobile market. The partnership aims to respond to the regional business environment by combining the engineering depth of ADVICS with the local manufacturing presence of Brakes India.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Sriram Viji, Managing Director of Brakes India, and Akira Akiyama, President of ADVICS, alongside other senior leaders and vendor partners.

The new unit brings together engineering discipline and technical collaboration to strengthen the ability of the entity to deliver high-quality braking solutions at scale. The facility is intended to support evolving customer needs and contribute to the development of the Indian automotive industry through the supply of electrification and intelligence-related products.

BIADS India Private Limited is a joint venture entity formed by Brakes India, a manufacturer of automotive brakes in India, and ADVICS, a Japanese automotive components supplier headquartered in Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture. The partnership utilizes the respective strengths of both companies to manufacture and supply braking systems for the automotive sector.
