TEMBO Defence, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tembo Global Industries Limited, has received a comfort letter from the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) for the allocation of 100 acres of land in Amravati, near Nagpur, Maharashtra. The company plans to establish a manufacturing facility for arms and ammunition on this site.

The facility is part of TEMBO Defence’s expansion into the defence manufacturing sector. The company stated that the project is expected to create employment opportunities in the region.

“This land allocation is a monumental step towards our vision of contributing to India’s self-reliance in the defence manufacturing sector. The upcoming facility will not only create significant employment opportunities in the region but also play a pivotal role in strengthening India’s defence infrastructure. Tembo Global Industries Limited, established in 2010, manufactures and assembles metal components for pipe support systems, fasteners, anchors, HVAC, anti-vibration systems, and equipment used in industrial, commercial, utility, and OEM installations. The company also trades in metal products, specializes in ductile pipes, HDB pipes and fittings, and MS plates, and has certifications from Underwriter’s Laboratory Inc. (USA) and FM Approval (USA) for fire sprinkler system installations. Tembo is recognized as a 2 Star Export House and expanded into EPC contracting in 2023. In 2024, the company diversified into defence manufacturing and solar power.
