Atos Group, a manufacturer of smart electrohydraulics, has begun construction on a new 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Ahmedabad, India. The site will serve as both a production plant for electrohydraulic components and a service center, with plans to employ over 40 professionals.

The facility aims to support manufacturing and after-sales services focused on electrohydraulics and valve systems. Pratiksinh Vaghela noted in a LinkedIn post that the development represents a key step in the company’s expansion.

This Ahmedabad facility aligns with broader industrial growth trends in India, supported by government programs such as Make in India and the Production-Linked Incentive scheme. The city has recently attracted multiple advanced manufacturing projects, including electric motorbike and electronics production units.

Atos Group, the Italian company specializing in smart electrohydraulics, has a direct and expanding presence in India, supporting both industrial and mobile automation sectors with advanced hydraulic and electronic control solutions. The company operates one of its global production sites in India, which is part of a network of eight to nine facilities worldwide, including locations in Italy, China, and the USA. This plant enables local assembly, customization, and faster delivery to clients across India and the Asia-Pacific region.

In India, Atos offers digital proportional valves and on-board electronics, conventional and modular hydraulic valves, cylinders, servocylinders and servoactuators, pumps, servopumps, hydraulic blocks, filters, as well as explosion-proof, safety, and stainless steel components designed for hazardous and corrosive environments.

The company serves a variety of Indian customers such as original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and end-users in industries like industrial automation, machine tools, energy, steel and metals, plastics and rubber, and mobile machinery including construction equipment.

Atos maintains a local sales and service network in India, providing component selection and application engineering support, start-up assistance, after-sales service, and fast-track delivery tailored to Indian market requirements. The company invests approximately 10 percent of its turnover in research and development and has introduced smart products for the Indian market, including the Atos CONNECT app for Bluetooth configuration and diagnostics, as well as fieldbus-enabled solutions.

Local production in India reflects Atos’s commitment to supply localization and meeting the growing demand for advanced electrohydraulic solutions in India and neighboring regions. This presence also ensures compliance with local standards and responsive customer service. As part of the Make in India initiative, Atos employs Indian professionals across engineering, manufacturing, and service functions, contributing to the development of local technical expertise. The Indian facility benefits from Atos’s global quality standards and technology while adapting products and services to the specific needs of Indian industries, including on-site technical support and rapid project execution.

Atos Group’s integration of hydraulics, electronics, and digital innovation in India positions its local operations as essential to serving the country’s evolving manufacturing and infrastructure sectors with energy-efficient, smart hydraulic solutions.
