HPS India, a manufacturer of hydraulic systems, inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra, on July 13, 2025, as part of its expansion in the hydraulics and lifting technology sector. The development signals the company’s move into full-fledged manufacturing operations in India.
The inauguration was attended by senior executives from the parent group, including Gregory Poitrasson, President of HPS Group; Clément Desenclos, General Manager – Asia Division; Stéphanie, Group HR Head; and Gopal Divakaran, General Manager – India. The company noted that the Pune facility aligns with its broader strategy to enhance its manufacturing presence in Asia.
Founded in 1990, HPS International designs, manufactures, and markets a wide range of hydraulic cylinders. Known for the distinctive red color of its products, the company operates as a recognized brand in the hydraulics sector with a presence in 28 countries. HPS International manages 17 subsidiaries, 11 partner firms, and six manufacturing facilities worldwide.
Its engineering teams in France, Germany, and Portugal are responsible for product development and innovation. The company’s portfolio includes block cylinders, round cylinders, tie rod cylinders, and customized solutions for industries such as mold and die, machine building, civil engineering, power generation, and oil and gas.
HPS International operates a global network of CNC and welding machines, capable of producing cylinders with bores from 16 mm to 1000 mm diametre and strokes up to 10,000 mm. The company maintains an inventory of ready-to-assemble cylinders with dispatch lead times of 24 to 72 hours. To ensure quality and responsiveness, HPS sources raw materials from high-specification suppliers and provides tailored solutions through its regional teams.
