Jupiter Wagons Limited (JWL) has announced that its unlisted subsidiary, Jupiter Tatravagonka Railwheel Factory Private Limited (JTRFPL), has received a Letter of Acceptance from the Ministry of Railways for the supply of 9,000 LHB axles. The order, dated 9 September 2025, is valued at approximately INR 1.13 billion.

According to the company, the axles will be supplied for FIAT-IR bogies, which are used in modern passenger coaches. JWL stated that this order adds to its presence in the passenger rolling stock segment.

The company currently operates an Aurangabad facility producing 10,000 wheelsets per year. As part of its capacity expansion plans, JWL is setting up a forged axle and wheel manufacturing facility in Odisha with an investment of INR 25 billion. The plant is scheduled to be operational by 2027 and aims to produce 100,000 forged wheelsets annually for domestic and export markets, including the European Union.
