Delta Electronics India has commenced the expansion of its manufacturing facility in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. The expansion includes the addition of two factory buildings and the launch of a smart manufacturing line. The site, spread across 95 acres, employs more than 3,800 people and currently houses four large-scale factory buildings.

The new facilities will increase production capacity for power supplies, DC brushless fans, telecom power systems, industrial automation solutions, data centre infrastructure, and electric mobility products. The smart manufacturing line, named “Inline Management Solution Line Manager,” is designed to automate production line changeovers and enable data-driven decision-making. Delta stated that the system, which integrates robotics, servo motion systems, programmable logic controllers, and industrial networking switches, has delivered up to a 95 percent increase in productivity in the production of power supplies for home appliances.

“Today’s expansion is a landmark milestone in Delta’s long-term commitment to the national ‘Make in India’ initiative. Our Krishnagiri manufacturing site has been strengthening India’s role within our global manufacturing capabilities since 2020, and we express our deepest gratitude to the Indian government, as well as to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru M.K. Stalin for the invaluable support to our local endeavors. Equally important is our people—by creating a safe and vibrant housing ecosystem, we ensure that our employees thrive along with our business,” said Jimmy Yiin, Executive Vice President of Global Business Operations at Delta.

“Delta’s Krishnagiri site is a symbol of India’s excellence in manufacturing, innovation, talent, and sustainability. Moreover, our newly-established smart manufacturing line is a testament to Delta’s unique prowess in industrial automation hardware-software integration and in eco-friendly production. Beyond manufacturing, our investment here also reflects Delta’s commitment to advancing local skills and creating opportunities that benefit both industry and society,” said Benjamin Lin, President of Delta Electronics India.

The Krishnagiri site operates with up to 53 percent renewable energy, supported by a 6.9 MWp solar rooftop system and wind power procurement. A 1,800 kilolitre per day water treatment plant, rainwater harvesting facilities, and CPCB-certified waste management practices are also part of its infrastructure.
