Envision Energy has inaugurated a wind turbine blade manufacturing facility in Kalyangadh, Bavla Taluka, Ahmedabad District, Gujarat. The plant has a capacity of 2 GW per year and is designed to produce up to 1,500 blades annually using six moulds. It will manufacture blades for 3.3 MW and 5 MW turbine platforms and is expected to support wind projects across five districts of Gujarat.

The company stated that the factory will generate around 4,000 direct and indirect jobs by mid-2027 as production scales up. The annual output of blades is projected to enable more than 4 GW of wind project capacity in the region. The facility is part of Envision’s investment plan of INR 5 billion in India, which also covers its existing manufacturing sites in Tamil Nadu and Pune.

The Gujarat unit will primarily serve the domestic market, integrating local suppliers, create technical roles, and support skill development partnerships in Gujarat. It also plans to comply with government localisation requirements for wind energy components while seeking a phased approach to manage costs and logistics. Exports are expected to be considered after 2027.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by representatives from Gujarat, local industry, and company leadership. Envision said it aims to expand its workforce in India to over 7,000 employees by FY28.
