Carl Bechem Lubricants (India) Private Limited, a manufacturer of speciality greases, oils and metalworking fluids for industrial and automotive applications, has expanded its integrated manufacturing and corporate facility at Bidadi in Karnataka. New production and support infrastructure was inaugurated during a two-day event held in late November, strengthening the company’s capability to serve domestic and export markets.

The programme marked the commissioning of additional plant areas and included internal business sessions attended by teams from India and Germany. The event combined formal proceedings with cultural elements as part of the launch of the expanded sections of the site.

The Bidadi plant operates as a co-located manufacturing and corporate campus producing a wide range of speciality lubricants. The portfolio includes high-temperature and high-speed greases, food-grade greases certified to ISO 21469, open-gear lubricants for cement and mining machinery, and industrial gear and chain oils. The site also manufactures speciality oils based on mineral and synthetic base stocks such as polyalphaolefins and polyglycols for use in industrial gearboxes, heavy chains and oil-lubricated bearings where oxidation stability and anti-wear performance are essential.

Metalworking fluids form another major product family at the plant. Under the Berucut and Beruform lines, the company supplies neat cutting oils and water-miscible fluids designed for moderate to severe machining, wire drawing and tube forming. These products are positioned to support long sump life, improved surface finish, corrosion protection and extended tool life on CNC and forming equipment.

Christoph Hundertmark, Managing Director of Carl Bechem GmbH, said the expansion demonstrated the progress of the Indian operation. “It was obvious within just a few minutes that we were celebrating something remarkable,” he said. He added that the inauguration highlighted “the pride and passion” with which the team has developed the facility.

The inauguration was attended by senior leadership from Germany, including Christoph Hundertmark, Managing Director of Carl Bechem GmbH, Advisory Board Chairman Hans-Hermann Brunholt and Indian Operations CEO Anirban Bhattacharya.

The facility is certified to ISO/IATF 16949:2016 for automotive-sector quality requirements and serves industries including cement, steel, automotive, mining, power, textiles, food processing and general metal-working.

Carl Bechem Lubricants (India) Private Limited operates its combined plant and corporate office at the Bidadi Industrial Area in Ramanagara district near Bengaluru. The company forms part of Carl Bechem GmbH, a German speciality lubricants manufacturer founded in 1834 and headquartered in Hagen, with production sites in Germany, India and China.
