Cummins India Limited has introduced a Retrofit Aftertreatment System (RAS) designed to help users of CPCBII and CPCBI gensets meet the latest emissions regulations. The system reduces particulate matter (PM), carbon monoxide (CO), and hydrocarbon (HC) emissions by up to 90%, offering a solution for businesses looking to comply with stricter environmental standards.

RAS, developed in India, uses Diesel Oxidation Catalyst and Particulate Filter technology. The system has been type-approved by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), verifying its effectiveness in reducing emissions. Cummins highlights that the device is compact and designed to minimize operational and maintenance costs.

Cummins India’s Vice President for Distribution stated that the company’s goal is to support customers in transitioning to cleaner technologies and ensuring compliance with emission standards while offering low-cost operational solutions.

The product is now available for businesses seeking to reduce their environmental impact and adhere to the new genset regulations.
