Symrise has announced the inauguration of its first cosmetic ingredients manufacturing facility in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. This cutting-edge facility will produce a diverse range of high-quality ingredients, catering to the Indian market and marking a significant milestone in Symrise’s growth strategy across the Asia-Pacific region.

    The facility was officially opened on September 3, 2024, with an inauguration ceremony attended by key Symrise management members. Among the attendees were Chung Sin Wong, Vice President of Cosmetic Ingredients for Asia Pacific; Surya Lukito, Director of Cosmetic Ingredients for South Asia & SEAO; and Yohanna Sander, Vice President of Micro Protection.

    Spanning 1,788 square meters, this advanced facility is designed to meet the increasing demand from India’s booming cosmetics market for actives, botanicals, and micro-protection ingredients with greater efficiency and scale.

    Chung Sin Wong expressed his optimism about the new site’s potential: “The Chennai facility represents more than just a manufacturing plant. It’s a blueprint for sustainable growth and strategic expansion,” he said. The multi-functional site is designed to optimize not only ingredient blending but also packaging and raw material storage, all while maintaining the highest standards of innovation and efficiency.
