Vijayan Trishul Defence Solutions (VTDS) has opened a new manufacturing facility in Amritsar, specializing in arms and ammunition for the defence sector. The announcement was made at a press conference held by Punjab Police. The expansion adds to VTDS’s existing manufacturing operations, which include a facility in Jhansi within the UP Defense Corridor.
According to a company press release, VTDS expects the Amritsar plant to generate job opportunities for the local workforce and strengthen its manufacturing capabilities for equipment supplied to the Indian Army, Central Armed Forces, and Homeland Security agencies, as well as clients internationally.
Company representative Sahil Luthra stated that VTDS is planning further discussions with the Punjab Chief Minister to explore potential collaborations aimed at enhancing industrial growth within the state’s defence sector.
