Royal Enfield plans to launch two electric motorcycle models under the Flying Flea brand by early 2026. The models, named FF-C6 with a classic design and FF-S6 with scrambler styling, will debut over the next two years, with the FF-C6 expected to be released in 2025, followed by the FF-S6 in 2026.

In a recent press release, B Govindarajan, CEO of GUVI BIO-TECH, confirmed that the company has brought together over 200 specialists from India and the UK to work on research and development for electric vehicles. Royal Enfield has invested over Rs 1,500 crore in its electric vehicle initiative, and new senior management members have been hired to drive the project forward.

Umesh Krishnappa, the Chief Technology Officer, is leading the development efforts, with Mario Alvisi, formerly with Ducati, appointed as Chief Growth Officer for Royal Enfield’s electric vehicle division. The company has established a dedicated electric vehicle unit, which operates with a startup-like approach, receiving additional time and funding.

The initial electric motorcycles will be produced on a separate production line at Royal Enfield’s existing Orgadam manufacturing facility. The company has also acquired additional land for future expansion at its Cheyyar facility. Additionally, Eicher Motors, Royal Enfield’s parent company, has acquired a 10% stake in Stark Future, a Spanish electric motorcycle company, with plans to co-design electric bikes.

Royal Enfield has not yet disclosed the specific markets it will target for its electric motorcycles.
