Gensol Engineering Ltd. has been awarded a contract to develop a 22 MW ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) project for a steel products company in Punjab. The project is valued at ₹88 crore and is scheduled for completion within six months.

The initiative will feature bi-facial solar modules, selected to optimize energy generation and ensure long-term performance. The installation aligns with India’s renewable energy goals and reflects the growing adoption of sustainable energy solutions within the industrial sector.

Gensol Engineering’s Chief Executive Officer for Solar EPC (India), Shilpa Urhekar, commented on the development, stating that the project supports sustainability and energy transition goals while contributing to India’s clean energy objectives.

Gensol, an established name in renewable energy and electric mobility, has executed over 770 MW of solar projects across India. The company specializes in solar power engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services.
