TVS Motor Company has announced plans to invest ₹2,000 crore in Karnataka over the next five years, focusing on production expansion and the establishment of a global capability centre in Mysuru.

According to a press release issued by the company, the investment agreement was signed with the Karnataka government as part of the Global Investors Meet, Invest Karnataka 2025. The initiative includes expanding production and engineering capabilities, building a test track, and establishing new office infrastructure in the state.

TVS Motor Managing Director Sudarshan Venu stated that the proposed capability centre will focus on research and development, aiming to attract talent and foster innovation.

The company currently operates a manufacturing facility in Mysuru with an annual production capacity of 1.5 million two-wheelers. The facility employs over 3,500 people and supplies vehicles for both domestic and international markets. Export revenues from the Mysuru plant exceed ₹1,200 crore, contributing to a total revenue of ₹7,600 crore from the facility.

TVS Motor stated that with the planned expansion, it aims to double its export and overall revenues from the Mysuru operations. The company also operates manufacturing plants in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, and Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh.
