Japanese multinational Nitta Corporation plans to relocate and expand its industrial components manufacturing facility in Pune, India. The factory will be moved within the Haveli Taluki region of Pune, Maharashtra, with completion expected by January 2026. The company has allocated INR 835 million (EUR 9 million) for the project.
The new facility will increase production capacity for conveyor belts, hydraulic hoses, tube fittings, automotive oil-changing components, and air filters. The expansion aligns with Nitta’s Shift2030 global strategy to strengthen its supply capabilities in the Indian market.
Nitta Corporation, which has been present in India for several years, has expanded its operations beyond textiles into multiple industrial sectors. The company operates its Indian headquarters in Pune, with a branch office in Coimbatore.
According to Nitta Corporation India, the company aims to make India one of its top three global markets and is investing in local infrastructure, management, and production capacity. The company has approvals from major OEMs and sees India as a strategic hub as European manufacturers shift operations to the region.
