Pratt & Whitney has inaugurated a new Digital Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad, marking an expansion of its operations in India. The company also introduced a solar power facility at the site, which is designed to source up to 90% of its energy requirements from solar power.

Pratt & Whitney, a subsidiary of RTX, established its India Customer Training Centre near GMR Airport in Hyderabad in 2015. The facility provides specialized training for airline personnel, engineers, pilots, and technicians on the company’s aero engines. It is one of three such training centres worldwide.

Company representatives, including O Sung Kwon, Vice President of Customer Service; Ashmita Sethi, President and Country Head; Rahul D, Global Chief Information Officer; and Ajay Surti, Head of the Indian Customer Training Centre, participated in the event.

The company stated that the new Digital Centre of Excellence is expected to generate additional employment opportunities in Hyderabad.
