Zetwerk Electronics has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu. The facility will focus on producing IT hardware, personal computing processors, and high-value electronic components for white goods. According to the company, the plant is expected to generate over 1,500 jobs and enhance supply chain capabilities.
The inauguration event was attended by Minister for Industries, Investment Promotion & Commerce TRB Rajaa, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who also interacted with the workforce at the facility.
Tamil Nadu accounts for 36% of India’s electronics exports. The state has been attracting investments in the sector, with new facilities such as Zetwerk’s contributing to its electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
